Comedy movies can help to lower blood pressure, as when you laugh for extended periods of time your blood vessels dilate. Intense laughing for more than 15 minutes can have the same effect on your body as cardiovascular exercise, which we all know is beneficial. Furthermore, when you watch sad movies, you are likely to come away thinking about loved ones and feeling grateful and happy for what you have.
