Last Friday the Pacific Runway event marked its seventh annual showcase in Australia. A selection of established and emerging designers who derive from the Pacific region from New Zealand to Fiji gathered together and displayed their latest collection at Carriageworks, Sydney’s home of fashion. Optimistically presented with extensive culture appreciation from decorations that created a tropical atmosphere to the runway pieces and undeniably the inclusion of indulgent performances. The Pacific Runway differentiated itself with a positive demonstration of diverse body types and sizes on the runway, a primal leading example to the acceptance of all body image within the fashion industry.

Numerous labels presented collections of opalescent colour—ways combined with palms and floral prints in reflection to the tropical climate of the Pacific. The label Zuber, eminently respected and recognised by the Fijian Fashion Council finished off the show exquisitely with its latest Mono’ia Print collection.
