Are media streaming platforms are better than cable TV?

Media streaming platforms such as Netflix, Stan and the like have risen in popularity not only in Australia, but across the world. Netflix originally was a big hit in America, before expanding globally to become a worldwide hit.

With the rise of media streaming platform’s success, cable TV is in a serious decline, with many opting to subscribe to media streaming platforms over cable TV companies. There are various reasons for this, and the media streaming platform’s success doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

Here are some reasons why media streaming platforms are better than cable TV.

Cheaper and more convenient

Media streaming platforms typically offer subscriptions that are billed monthly.

These monthly subscriptions are significantly cheaper than cable TV plans.

Not only thing, but media streaming platforms are so much more convenient.

They can be accessed from anywhere with a tablet, laptop or phone. Because of this ease of access, people are much more likely to subscribe to these platforms. Furthermore, the access to TV shows and movies is unprecedented, and cable TV just can’t compare.

No advertisements

Cable TV is notorious for having more ad runtime than actual entertainment runtime. It now seems ridiculous to the consumer to pay for a TV plan then watch significantly more advertisements than actual entertainment.

Media streaming platforms contain no form of advertisement, and consumers can access movies and TV shows without seeing a single ad the entire time.

This is why media streaming platforms are much more popular compared to cable TV.

In summary, media streaming platforms are significantly more popular than cable TV plans nowadays, with many consumers opting to only subscribe to them and not have a cable TV plan at all. This is mostly due to ease of access, convenience and no advertisements. Media streaming platforms reign supreme, and will for the foreseeable future.
